Commission Rob to do a Graphic Design Project or Personalised Poster
People frequently contact me for graphic design services, large or small; such as poster, leaflet, logo, book jacket or album cover, restaurant menu, performance ticket, promotional banner, or other more creative personalised images. If you wish to commission a graphic design project, then please consider the following.
Step 1: The Brief
Be clear about what you want and submit any ideas you may have. Most people send their scribbled ideas, any relevant images, useful resources, or links to examples via email to give me an informed start.
Step 2: Budget
Once you have submitted your enquiry, I will reply with a quote for the job which realistically estimates the amount of time involved, but no artwork is supplied at this stage. If you agree to the work proposed, then you would be required to pay a 50% deposit before any work commences. I work to an hourly rate, so if you change direction or require very many changes then it will push up the cost. Therefore, it is important to be very clear in Step 1.
Step 3: Timeline
If the work you require is urgent then you must stipulate this at the start and the required deadline. An urgent project has a surcharge of 100.-CHF (Swiss Francs) and may only be achieved if communication is clear, invoice paid in full and the finished product is being digitally supplied. Otherwise you will join the queue and I can usually deliver a completed project within 2-3 weeks depending on demand. If you are ordering printed material, then please allow a further 5-10 days for postage – depending on where you live.
Step 4: Final Product
Once approved by you as complete, the graphic artwork is usually supplied digitally as a high-resolution ~.PSD, ~.AI or ~.JPEG file suitable for commercial printing upon receipt of full payment. Limited edition prints of unique graphic artwork – such as a personalised existing Robin Scott poster - can be supplied in a variety of formats, according to my price list and subject to the relevant postage & package charges. I do not offer a commercial printing service however this can be arranged, using local contacts, if required. Any printing requirements must be established in Step 1.
If, for any reason you decide to terminate the contract then the deposit is retained. If you are clear about all of the above and ready to embark on your graphic design project, then please contact me, and do not hesitate if any further clarification or advice is required.
